What is the best way to put a logo on a knit bag?
For a bag that is unmistakably yours, knit the logo in as jacquard – it becomes part of the fabric. For speed and the lowest setup, sew on a woven label or a PU / leather patch. Many brands combine the two: a subtle knitted-in mark outside and a woven label inside.
Which logo method suits which bag?
| Method | Looks | Best on |
|---|---|---|
| Knitted-in jacquard | Part of the fabric, cannot peel | Totes, shoulder and beach bags |
| Woven label | Classic fashion finish | Every style |
| PU / leather patch | Premium contrast to the knit | Totes, travel and laptop bags |
| Embroidery | Fine detail, textured | Pouches, small bags, seasonal motifs |
| Metal plate / hardware | Jewellery-like detail | Handbags and shoulder bags |
| Printed lining | Seen when the bag opens | Lined totes and pouches |
| Hang tag & packaging | Retail presentation | Every style |
What artwork do you need?
A vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) is best; a high-resolution PNG is enough to start the digital proof. Add Pantone references for yarn and thread colours.
Frequently asked questions
Can very small logos be knitted?
Knitting has a resolution limit set by the stitch size, so fine lines and small text are better as a woven label or embroidery. We advise per logo.
Do I get a proof before sampling?
Yes – a digital proof first, then a physical sample.
